Ever wondered why your favorite bag of chips contains so much empty space? The infographic I designed below is the result of many hours of research set to find out why we seem to be getting less than our money’s worth with savory snacks.

Challenges

Since this topic has been covered quite a few times, the client needed something special that would help them rank in the Google SERP against many food bloggers — which was not an easy task.

After analyzing the Google Images tab, I was able to see that most of the images focusing around the topic of potato chip bag air were just stock images. There was a great opportunity to utilize illustration and data visualizations to stand out from the client’s competitors.
